Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Melodicode ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in our mobile apps, games, and related websites, including www.melodicode.com (together, the "Apps"). It applies to every app we publish on the Apple App Store and Google Play unless an app's own listing says otherwise.
By using our Apps, you agree to the practices described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Apps.
1. Information We Collect
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, or other personal details. Our Apps are designed to work without handing us that information.
Depending on the App, the following may be stored or processed:
- On-device data. Settings, progress, scores, saved sessions, and similar content are stored locally on your device. We do not receive this data unless an App clearly offers a backup or sync feature.
- Diagnostic and usage information. If an App uses crash reporting or analytics, it may collect anonymous technical data such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and general feature usage. This is used only to find bugs and improve the App.
- Purchase information. In-app purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We receive confirmation that a purchase occurred, but never your payment card details.
- Information you send us. If you contact us by email or through a support form, we receive whatever you choose to include, and use it only to reply to you.
2. Microphone, Camera, and Other Permissions
Some Apps may request device permissions (for example, microphone access for audio or music features). These permissions are used only for the feature that needs them. Audio, images, or other data captured this way is processed on your device and is not uploaded to our servers or shared with anyone unless an App explicitly tells you otherwise. You can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings.
3. How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Apps
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs
- To respond to support requests
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
4. Third-Party Services
Our Apps may rely on third-party services that have their own privacy practices. Depending on the App, these can include:
- Apple App Store and Google Play (distribution, purchases, subscriptions)
- Crash reporting and analytics providers (for example, Firebase Crashlytics or Google Analytics for Firebase)
- Advertising networks (for example, Google AdMob), only in Apps that display ads
These providers may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and general usage data. Please review their policies:
In Apps that show ads, you can limit ad personalization in your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads).
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share information only:
- With service providers that help us run the Apps, under terms that limit their use of the data
- When required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will make reasonable efforts to notify you
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it or uninstall the App. Anonymous diagnostic data held by third-party providers is kept for the period set by that provider. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve your request. To ask us to delete anything we hold about you, contact us using the details below.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Apps are not designed to collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable law sets a higher age) without verifiable parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly. Apps intended for children do not include behavioral advertising or third-party tracking.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we handle. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we collect very little personal information, there may be nothing to retrieve, but we will honor valid requests. Contact us using the details below.
10. International Users
Our Apps are available worldwide. Information handled by third-party providers may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of the Apps after a change means you accept the updated policy.
